Mr. Hicks... I want you to know that I appreciate your particular style of old time banjo picking very much. I find it most enjoyable and pleasing to listen to because you allow the banjo to play the tune with it's full range of rich mellow tones and not be buried as accompaniment to a couple of fiddles as it is in lots of the video clips around. I am 76 YOA and although I come from the plains and mountain country of Wyoming and Colorado, I have always found much enjoyment in the mountain music from "back east" there. She does this very authentically by which I mean in her own genre which I believe is Appalachian. Subtle so you gotta get into the song a minute or so to hear how skillfully, beautifully, she has arranged it and performs it.
